Insulated aluminium roof panel
Roof and insulation in one board.
Cut to the length of your roof, in metallic grey or coffee. Aluminium weather face, so it cannot rust and never needs repainting.
The finish
The four things that keep the colour on a roof.
Sun all year, a hundred and seventy wet days, salt off the sea. The cheap standard finish — polyester — holds its colour five to eight years, then chalks: the exposed run goes pale while the part under the eaves stays dark.
Fifteen to twenty-five years of colour
A bond between carbon and fluorine, one of the strongest in chemistry. Sunlight does not cut it apart the way it cuts ordinary paint.
Baked on at 48 microns
Onto the flat sheet, before the panel is rolled. Part of the sheet, not sprayed over a finished panel.
Stays smooth, stays clean
Dirt has nothing to key into, so the rain does most of the washing.
Survives being formed
A brittle finish micro-cracks along every fold, and each crack lets water and salt at the metal. PVDF bends without breaking.
The polyester version of this panel is cheaper. We do not carry it.

What is an insulated aluminium roof panel?
One board that is both the roof covering and its insulation: an aluminium weather skin with a rigid polyurethane core bonded to it. It replaces a metal sheet, a separate insulation blanket and a ceiling.
Will it rust?
The weather face is aluminium alloy 3003-H24, and aluminium does not rust. Steel panels are sold with a warranty against perforation by corrosion — a promise to pay out once the roof has a hole in it.
What does the insulation actually do?
A plain metal roof takes the sun and radiates it straight down, which is why a car porch is hotter than the garden. The polyurethane core behind the skin stops most of that. The thicker the panel, the more core in it.
What thicknesses are there?
45 mm, 65 mm and 100 mm. The 45 and 65 are 1000 mm wide and cover 950 mm; the 100 mm is 1020 mm and covers 1000 mm.
What lengths can it be made in?
Cut to your length. A panel that runs the whole slope in one piece has no cross joint — and a cross joint is where a metal roof usually starts leaking.
What colours, and what is the finish?
Metallic grey and metallic coffee as standard, custom colours to order. PVDF fluorocarbon at 48 microns, baked onto the sheet.
